Best Books for World Laughter Day
Happy World Laughter Day
Today is a day purely for giggles. Whether that’s with your family, friends, kids, or just you, a big bowl of popcorn, and a funny book.
World Laughter Day is a day that people can relieve some stress, pent-up tension, anxiety and worry, and have a good ole giggle.
The day itself is an annual event recognized worldwide to raise awareness about laughter and its many benefits. With everything that’s happening in the world right now, laughter can be the only thing some of us crave at the end of the day.
Cracking a smile and breaking into a deep-rooted belly laugh can really melt the tension of the day away. It can help us connect with those around us, and there are a number of health benefits associated with laughing as well, such as:
- The release of endorphins is triggered. Endorphins are your body’s natural painkillers. They help you feel good while easing chronic pain at the same time.
- Laughter has been shown to reduce stress hormone levels. It helps to lower the stress and anxiety that can impact the body.
- Lastly, a fit of giggles can also lower your blood pressure, which I’m sure your doctor will be pleased with. Just giggle yourself back to your next appointment.
